1. What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Spreads (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, applications, and services (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this policy.

2. Information we collect

Account information: email address, phone number, password hashes, and sign-in identifiers from providers you choose (e.g., Google or Apple).

Profile and preferences: favorite leagues and teams, experience level, goals, and settings you save.

Usage and content: questions you ask Merlin, conversation history, pages viewed, features used, device and log data (IP address, browser, timestamps).

Payment information: handled by our payment processor; we receive subscription status, not full card numbers.

Wallet information (optional): if you connect a cryptocurrency wallet, we receive your public wallet address and on-chain transaction identifiers for transactions you authorize. We never receive your private keys.

3. How we use information

To operate and personalize the Service (e.g., your teams, your board, tailored analysis); to process subscriptions; to improve our models and features; to communicate with you about the Service; to promote responsible gambling; to ensure security and prevent abuse; and to comply with legal obligations, including age and jurisdiction requirements.

4. AI processing

Questions you submit to Merlin are processed by third-party large-language-model providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google) under data-processing agreements. Do not include sensitive personal information in chat messages. Conversation content may be retained to provide history features and to improve quality.

5. Sharing

We share information with service providers who operate infrastructure for us (hosting, database/authentication, AI providers, analytics, payments), with sports-data and odds providers as needed to fulfill your requests, when required by law, in connection with a corporate transaction, or with your direction (e.g., third-party sportsbooks or markets you connect). We do not sell your personal information.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences (like theme and model choice), and measure usage. You can control cookies through browser settings; signing out removes our authentication cookies.

7. Retention

We keep account data while your account is active and as needed for legal, security, and operational purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data; some records may be retained where required by law.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact privacy@spreads.io to exercise these rights. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

9. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls, scoped credentials). No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.

10. Children

The Service is strictly for adults (21+). We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21, and we delete such information if discovered.

11. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Service or by email. The “Last updated” date reflects the latest revision.
